Simply owning a handgun and knowing how to shoot it does not mean that you are automatically proficient in using it for personal defense purposes in a real violent encounter. Learn how to use your handgun and how to get it into the fight safely and effectively. Level 1.5 courses are for those who have some prior formal training and want to drill the fundamentals (if you have little to no experience using a pistol, please wait to register for a level 1 course). This course satisfies the training requirement for the Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit. Successful completion of this class will be recognized with a certificate, which can be submitted to the AZ Department of Public Safety with your application for the CWP.
