Build on what you learned in PC 1 or 1.5 by engaging multiple targets, transitioning to pistol, and other more intermediate level techniques under the added pressure of a shot timer and in low light (in fall and winter only). This is a formal class with a set course of fire. Attendees who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate. Must have successfully passed Practical Carbine 1 or 1.5 and Introduction to Low Light Tactics (if taking it in the fall or winter) or similar course(s) at another reputable school in order to be eligible to attend this class.

  • Shoulder/pistol transition
  • Shooting on the move

  • Basic 2-person team tactics
  • Diagnosing and clearing malfunctions

Required Gear

  • Functioning and well maintained carbine (AR-15, AK47, or similar) in a case.
  • Functioning and well maintained semi-automatic pistol in a case.
  • Weapon mounted light (rifle)
  • Handheld flashlight
  • Sling
  • Holster
  • Shooting mat
  • A minimum of 3 spare magazines for each weapon.
  • A minimum of 1 magazine pouch for each weapon.
  • Sturdy belt (shooter’s belt, rigger’s belt, etc.).
  • At least 250 rounds of quality rifle ammunition, 100 for pistol.
  • Eye protection (tinted and clear)
  • Ear protection (electronic is recommended).
  • Close-toed shoes
  • Hydration
  • Snacks

Recommended Gear

  • Hat
  • Shemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and spent cartridges.
  • Sunscreen (The first portion of the class might be done in daylight)
  • Pants and long sleeve shirt.
