Sub-Gun 1.5

While many people train with their their rifles, they often neglect doing so with a sub-gun. Learn the proper role and limitations of a modern sub gun or pistol caliber carbine. This is a perfect opportunity to get a proper zero and to become equally as proficient with your sub-gun as you are with your carbine. Attendees must have taken Practical Carbine 1 or 1.5 at least once to be eligible for this course.

Basic function and manipulation of your firearm
Proper stance and form
Shooting from multiple positions

Required Gear

Functioning and well maintained sub-gun or pistol caliber carbine in a case.
Sling
A minimum of 3 spare magazines.
A minimum of 1 magazine pouch.
Sturdy belt (shooter’s belt, rigger’s belt, etc.).
At least 150 rounds of quality ammunition.
Eye protection
Ear protection (electronic is recommended).
Shooting mat
Close-toed shoes
Hydration
Snacks

Recommended Gear

Hat
Shemagh or other neck wrap to protect against sun and spent cartridges.
Sunscreen (The first portion of the class might be done in daylight)
Pants and long sleeve shirt.
First aid kit/IFAK
